Hi, my name is Lacey Maxwell and I am the owner and lead artist of 805 Makeup. From a very early age, I was an artist; I was inspired by my aunt who used to paint and create masterpieces by paying attention to details with nothing but color and a brush. Knowing this, I enrolled and graduated from The Lu Ross Academy and received my cosmetology license upon completion of high school, and soon went on to work for one of the world’s leading professional makeup authorities, MAC Cosmetics.
Since jumpstarting my career in 2006 as an artist with MAC, I have received the best training from celebrity makeup artists such as John Stapleton, was hand selected as a key makeup artist for the southwest region of California, and had my work featured in major publications such as US Weekly, Utterly Engaged, Tulle and Santa Barbara Magazine. My work has also been seen on popular blogs such as Style Me Pretty, Magnolia Rouge, Wedding Sparrow and Ruffled to name a few.
Although I have mastered many different styles of makeup, my specialty is natural bridal and beauty makeup. After freelancing for many years, it wasn’t until 2014 that I decided to pursue my love of art and actively turn it into a career, and thus 805 Makeup was born.
Having over a decade of hairstyling and makeup artistry experience under my belt, my extensive knowledge has allowed me to master the art of enhancing one’s natural beauty. My exceptional work ethic, attention to detail, and years of experience make me a highly desired artist for all of your beauty and bridal needs.
My Artist Tip:
Want an instant eye lift? Draw an arch directly above your eyebrow with your favorite highlighter, and blend with a brush or your finger. This makes your arch look raised, making the whole eye area look like it’s been lifted
